municipality of 21,264 inhabitants located
in Tuscany. The municipality is located in
the oldest part at the top of a high hill.
The city is also famous for being the
cradle, in 1240, of Arnolfo di Cambio, to

dedicated. The history and identity of Colle
di Val d`Elsa, as well as those of the other
municipalities of Alta Valdelsa-San
Gimignano, Poggibonsi, Monteriggioni and

We should not forget that the Francigena
Road and its ramifications used to cross
Alta Valdelsa bringing a great traffic of
goods and men, and thus guaranteeing assured
profits. The economy of Colle di Val d`Elsa
is based on the tertiary industry. With

active in the glass sector at domestic and
international levels, and receives great
impetus from tourism thanks to the historic
center and to its strategic position in the
center of Tuscany near important tourist
